Before we close the year and head into Christmas, I want to share a few reflections on 2025. It’s been a year where many things have started to fall into place. We strengthened our footing across all three business areas, expanded our presence in the marine market, secured important public-sector projects and continued developing our genset offering and service partnerships. All of this gives us a solid foundation for the growth we see ahead. So let’s take a closer look.
A Year of Steady Progress
One highlight this year was being recognised as a Gasell company by Dagens Industri, an acknowledgment of strong, sustained growth and solid financial performance. One reason for our successes is that we continue to strengthen our competence through training and by bringing in new specialists. It’s my belief that this focus on capability is one of the foundations of our performance. I notice it especially in how we’ve been able to take on more complex projects without expanding the organisation.
Our Three Pillars Keep Delivering
This year showed once again how robust our three business areas are: industrial engines, marine drivetrains and power generation. All three continued to develop in a positive direction, and together they form the stable platform behind our long-term strategy.
In the industrial segment, we continued to deliver Yanmar, John Deere and MAN gas solutions to customers who prioritise uptime, service structure and total cost of ownership. We were especially pleased to begin supplying Yanmar engines to another well-known machine manufacturer. While some OEMs reduced their volumes during the year, these new customers helped balance the market.
Rising Instability Pushes Nations to Build Greater Resilience
Today’s world continues to remind us of the importance of resilient infrastructure, and this is reflected in the growing focus on preparedness across Europe. For us, this has translated into a steady increase in demand for reliable power solutions. We secured several governmental and municipal procurements during the year, and our own Dpower industrial gensets have taken an increasingly central place in our offering. With models ranging from 10 kW up to 3000 kW, we are meeting a broad span of applications from public buildings and emergency installations to industrial backup power. Deliveries to agencies such as MSB (The Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency) and Livsmedelsverket (the Swedish National Food Agency) show the trust that has been placed in our solutions.
Our service and partner network has become increasingly important as demand grows. Sweden is a large country, and we know we can’t be everywhere ourselves. By working with strong local partners who understand their industries and customers, we can offer faster and more relevant support wherever our products are used. In the end, reliability comes from having the right people close to our customers.
Gaining Momentum in the Marine Segment
The marine business continued its positive trajectory this year. MAN engines remain strong in newbuild projects, and at the same time we are seeing growing interest in COX diesel outboards. They offer clear advantages: lower fuel consumption compared with petrol, higher torque, reduced fire risk and compatibility with NATO-standard fuel. This combination appeals to both military operators and commercial customers with high operational hours. And with the renewed focus on defence across Europe, I expect interest in COX will only continue to grow.
We’re Building Long-Term Relationships
Sustainability has become a much more important factor for many of our customers. With that comes higher demands on emission control systems and other technical solutions that keep engines clean and efficient. At the same time, many machines now include advanced monitoring designed to reduce downtime by tracking performance and wear in real time.
All of this means that engines and power systems have become more complex to build and optimise. And as a result, the focus has shifted away from one-off deliveries. More customers want us to be their long-term partner, someone who stays involved throughout the lifecycle and helps them get the most out of their equipment. For me, it’s a clear sign of how our role is evolving, and something that has naturally strengthened many of our customer relationships.
Looking Ahead Towards 2026
Taken together, 2025 has been a year of steady and, I would also say, meaningful progress. We strengthened our organisation, developed our position in the market and grew in the areas where our solutions make the biggest difference. With a strong portfolio, a great team, capable partners and continued growth in neighbouring countries, I feel we are well placed for what comes next.
Thank you to our customers, partners and our entire team for a successful year, and a very Merry Christmas from all of us at Dpower.
Peter Nauwerck, CEO Dpower
