With strong growth, new partnerships, and strategic milestones, Dpower enters the summer with solid momentum and continued confidence.
The first half of 2025 has been exceptional for Dpower. Revenue is up 40% compared to the same period last year, deliveries of MAN marine engines have reached an all-time high, and the service team has completed a record number of marine overhauls. At the same time, the company has strengthened its presence across key sectors – from defence to emergency power – while continuing to invest in innovation and customer partnerships.
“It’s clear that the consistent work we’ve put in over the years is paying off,” says CEO Peter Nauwerck. “We’ve built trust in several key markets, and our ability to deliver both technically and logistically has never been stronger.”
A strong start – across all areas
In addition to volume growth and improved margins, Dpower has reached several important milestones in 2025. Among them is winning another major public tender for emergency power systems, as well as initiating deliveries of the company’s own-branded Dpower gensets to the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB).
“Designing and delivering our own fully specified gensets to MSB is a significant step. It allows us to ensure quality and performance at every stage, from engineering to aftermarket.”
Another milestone was the delivery of marine diesel outboards to international defence forces – along with a new confirmed order from a naval defence force within Europe.
“Our investment in marine diesel outboards is now bearing fruit. This is a solution we believe in, and the fact that a European navy has placed an order confirms the relevance of what we’ve built.”
Responding to trends – with readiness and flexibility
Peter highlights two overarching trends shaping the current market: increased focus on military and civil preparedness, and a more balanced view of environmental sustainability in power and propulsion.
“Resilience is top of mind – whether in defence, infrastructure, or industry. There’s also a clearer understanding that reducing environmental impact requires practical, reliable solutions, not just ambition. That’s where our technology and experience matter.”
Dpower has maintained a strong presence at industry events this spring, including Allt för sjön, HSBO, and Elmia Wood – with more to come in the second half of the year, such as Öppet Varv and Elmia Subcontractor.
A capable and cohesive team
The company’s performance so far in 2025 is also a reflection of its internal strength. Peter points to the team’s high level of collaboration, competence, and drive.
“We have a group of people who not only work well together, but who also take ownership on an individual level. That combination makes a big difference.”
The team was further strengthened this spring with the addition of Magnus Kärrman as Aftermarket Manager – a role focused on developing the company’s support offering over time.
“Magnus brings both structure and energy and has already had a positive impact on how we manage the full customer lifecycle.”
What lies ahead
Looking into the second half of the year, Dpower’s focus will be on continued growth and innovation – including deeper collaboration with its sister company, SwedMotor.
“There’s strong alignment in our goals and capabilities, and by working more closely together, we can unlock even more value for our customers.”
Peter also notes that the company is well positioned to outperform its already strong 2024 results.
“We’re seeing positive signals across the board. With the pipeline we have and the team in place, we’re confident about what’s next.”
A summer message – with gratitude
As the company breaks for summer, Peter shares a sincere message to the people around Dpower:
“Thank you to all our customers, partners and colleagues for your continued trust, commitment and collaboration. You are the reason we can keep moving forward. I wish you a restful and energising summer – and I look forward to what we’ll achieve together in the months ahead.”
