Planetary gears from FUNK

FUNK’s planetary gears are composite transmission systems consisting of several different transmission elements.

The planetary gear unit consists of one or more outer gears / satellite wheels that rotate around a central gear / sun gear. Usually, the satellite wheels are mounted on a movable carrier, which in turn can rotate relative to the sun wheel on its own axis. A planetary gear includes an outer gear in the form of an outer ring.

All gear elements are constantly in contact, but in some implementations the different shafts can be individually locked to meet different gearing purposes.

It can be difficult to overlook all the gearings a planetary gear enables.
