It's more than
the lights going out.
It's an entire
business
that is affected.
The cold chain, the checkouts and your customers' everyday life all depend on electricity.
The right backup power starts with understanding your store.
01 — The store's needs
Start with what matters most
What needs to
keep working?
01
Refrigeration & freezers
Prioritise refrigeration and freezer systems to reduce the risk of spoiled goods and a broken cold chain.
02
Checkouts & systems
Plan the power supply to checkouts, network and IT. Payments also require working communications and external services.
03
Lighting & operations
Identify the lighting, ventilation and other equipment needed to keep the business running.

01The whole picture
The power behind an open store.
Backup power starts with what has to keep working. We help you size the generator set to the store's loads, the building and the required runtime.
From power requirement to the right scope of delivery

02The enclosure
A complete unit that fits the site.
Placement, noise requirements and service access determine how the backup power is designed. We review the conditions before choosing a generator set.

03Behind the power
The engine at the core.
Engine, generator and controls need to work together. We choose the components based on power requirement, operating profile and installation requirements.
Hyundai DX05 is shown as an engine option.
Hyundai DX05 · engine option
04The engine
Power starts in the engine.
The Hyundai DX05 is a four-cylinder diesel engine for generator applications. Five-litre displacement and EU Stage V. The engine is chosen together with the generator to meet the needs of the business.
Engine example: DX05 (DP054CAV). The final engine choice depends on the selected solution.
Runtime based on the needs of the business
05Fuel & runtime
Plan for the hours that follow.
Required runtime, load and the ability to refuel with diesel determine fuel planning. We help you find the right conditions for enduring backup power.
Engine and fuel supply are chosen for the complete solution

06Mobile backup power
Mobile backup power. Ready to connect.
With PowerSyntax from Italian manufacturer Valentini, Dpower offers Powerlock-compatible connections for mobile backup power. This makes it easier to connect equipment that uses the same connector system. Colour-coded and mechanically keyed connectors help prevent incorrect connection. The connection is planned together with the building's electrical installer.

From need to working solution
The right generator set.
The right conditions.
Dpower supplies both mobile and stationary backup power solutions. We help you choose the right design and scope – from generator set and connection to service and spare parts.
01Mobile backup power
Power that can go where you go.
Backup power that can be moved to where it is needed. In addition to generator sets, cabling and connections, we can also supply trailers. We adapt the solution to the site, the power requirement and how it will be used.
Portable solution · Can be supplemented with a trailer

02Stationary backup power
Backup power for permanent installation.
A stationary solution is planned for permanent installation at the store. Output, placement, noise level and fuel supply are adapted to the business.

Investment grant 2026
Strengthen your store's preparedness.
With support for backup power.
Backup power can make a difference for your store. There is now a grant worth looking into.
Grocery stores in Norrbotten, Västerbotten, Västernorrland and Jämtland can apply for support for a stationary or mobile backup generator set.
Purchase and installation are covered.
02 / The amount
Up to SEK 1 million.
Per store. The grant can cover up to 100 percent of eligible costs, excluding VAT.
Operation, maintenance and your own work are not included.
03 / The application
Apply before you start.
20 August–20 October 2026, no later than 23:59 on the last day, or until the funds run out. Complete applications are assessed in order of receipt.
The investment must not start before you apply. Attach a quote for the generator set and installation.
04 / Implementation
Plan all the way.
Purchase and installation should normally be completed within 12 months of the grant being approved. Half is paid on approval, the rest after purchase and installation.
Final payment requires an invoice, proof of payment and a certificate from the grid owner.
